Sweetspire Gardens is a locally owned garden store in Hoover, Alabama founded by Jason Cooper.  Opening Sweetspire Gardens has been his dream for over a decade and like any good garden it has taken a while to develop the right plan and to find the right soil to take root. Jason was raised in Birmingham and earned a degree in Horticulture from Auburn University in 1997.  For nearly 20 years, Jason has worked in horticulture and landscaping in this region, primarily in Birmingham.  Working with everyone from individual home to large business clients, including a tenure serving as Director of Landscape Services at Birmingham-Southern College, he has the experience and expertise in growing in this region to bring to customers. Passionate about horticulture, Jason is active in a number of industry organizations including the Alabama Turfgrass Association.

 

Jason and his wife, Fran, settled in the Bluff Park community in 2008.  They have two daughters.
